Game Day is literally around the corner and we only want the easiest appetizers to snack on. So today I'm sharing a easy peasy way to make your own Tortilla Chips for dip or Nachos.
My kids love it when I make these. More than likely I'll be making them beforehand so come Sunday they're ready to eat! We're not the biggest football fans but there's the commercials and half time to look forward to also when it comes to the SuperBowl. And snacks gotta be on hand for everyone, I don't know about you, but the last thing I want to do on a Sunday is be in the kitchen cooking.
The kids usually like to eat them with refried beans and turkey topped with cheese and sour cream, they're are pretty easy to please when it comes to these Homemade Tortilla Chips. Me personally I like to enjoy them with some homemade salsa or guacamole or hummus even.
All you need is store bought tortillas, canola oil or olive oil, and a sharp knife. Simply cut through a few tortillas like a pie or pizza, so that the end result gives you triangle slices.
Toss in the them into your skillet with about 2 or 3 tbsp of oil, let them cook on each side for about 1 or 2 minutes.
Take them out and let them drain or sit in a paper towel for a few minutes, sprinkle some regular or sea salt on them for taste and voila! Ready to eat with what ever you want!
