Seventeen | Pink & Gold Birthday BBQ!

Incredible doesn't begin to describe what my daughter is and I don't mean to brag but she is pretty incredible inside and out!

Big dreamer.  Big heart!

I hate to say it but I get sad each year they grow older.  I know eventually they'll be leaving the nest and so for me celebrating these milestones with them is huge and a must.

NO birthday is too big or too small no matter how we celebrate its going to be exactly what they want and if we can make it happen then happening it is.

This year she wanted seventeen to be quaint but fun and to be surrounded by those she loves dearly.

Although it was meant to be a small and intimate gathering my daughter didn't want to lack the birthday decor and I don't blame her, it makes the festivities that much more festive whether its big or small, party decorations just make it special.  Wonder where she gets that from, Hmmm...

These fun confetti balloons, lipstick pinata, table confetti, fringe banner and candy favors were all purchased from the lovely and talented Lisa Frank at Hand Crafted Parties.

The gold number balloons I purchased from Etsy, of course!

Pretty, sweet and tasteful is exactly how I can describe the way it all turned out.

I didn't want to make or bake a cake this year (don't worry my daughter totally understood plus she's picky about cake), mostly because I wanted it to be fun not only for my daughter but the whole family and SO I didn't want to be too busy or stressed out a couple of days leading up to the day, and we so happened to find this yummy Strawberry frosted shortcake at Albertson's bakery literally the day before.  If not this cake, it was going to be some other yummy cake, but the color and flavor was perfection!

With the burgers we were going to be grilling, and lemonade we were serving, this was just the icing on the cake (literally) that we needed to make sure it was light enough for everyone to want a piece and not have a ton of cake left over.

Mini "Lipstick" pinata from Lisa Frank at Hand Crafted Parties find her on Instagram.

It was a signature piece we couldn't go without for my daughter in reference to her beauty specialty!

Small yet fun details was really the only hard part (which wasn't hard at all) about this little gathering with close family.  You might even recognize these little CHALKBOARD FOOD MARKERS SET OF 4 standing signs are from the dollar section at Target,  Avon, for 7.99 and you can find them here.

oh but wait there's more.....

I also wanted to share these fun pics from the night before her birthday bbq.  She wanted some personal fun time with her closest friends at K1 speed!

She'd never been go cart racing and neither had any of her friends that attended therefore it was going to be an experience they would enjoy together for the first time and fun they had!

Couldn't end the night without a cheer stand!

Thanks for stopping by and hope your celebration big or small, is just as fun!
