Witches Brew Pumpkin Soup Recipe



Before we know it, Fall will be among us and I for one am already enjoying the cooler weather.  

My absolute favorite is when you can feel the warm sun in your face with a cool breeze to accompany it.

But isn't it even better when you can start baking and whipping up those warm tasty soups and casseroles?

I'm no chef, but I love to bake and cook for my family.  Even more so when its the season of pumpkin everything!


I love having warm dishes and comfort foods as soon as the weather cools.  It only seemed appropriate that I share this pumpkin soup recipe with you to kick off the season.
  


This recipe doesn't require much, below is all you need.


  • 1 cup of coconut milk
  • 2 cups of chicken broth
  • 2 cans of pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Dash of black pepper
  • Top with some whipping cream for taste

Use a medium pot and use medium heat. You want to warm up the first 6 ingredients for a good 20-30 minutes until you have the consistency and taste you desire.  Feel free to add the dash of black pepper at any time if you wish to do so.  

Once cool enough to serve (or feel free to eat quite warm if you'd like) you can then add a drop of the whipping cream.

This is sure to feed your whole family and more.  If you would like it to be somewhat sweeter, adding some (half a teaspoon or so) nutmeg and ginger would be ideal.  Feel free to eat it alongside with your favorite grilled panini or grilled cheese or by itself is just fine.
