You Can Copper-fy & Gold-afy Anything + Giveaway!

When it comes to galvanized items, vintage metal, washed out tin or copper decorative essentials, its pretty clear that they've become a pretty trendy way to decorate with in our homes and kitchens these days as most of you already have seen and know.

Personally I think it gives our homes a cozy, comfy and almost a rustic yet modern feel.

Copper especially has made a big come back, but its still hard to find such unique items that come in copper.  And unless you're buying it new which can be pretty costly, you really have to look through quite a few thrift shops, etsy shops or antique stores to find the quality yet more affordable items.

But fear not my friends, because luckily Rust-Oleum has a copper spray that basically let's you turn any item you think might be better looking in copper, into just that, copper!  Without the struggle of searching those shops for days.

Instead you can magically spray and wallah!

I don't have a lot of copper in my home in fact but I still love it, you'll find more of the vintage gold decor items.   These items make quite the modern and eclectic statement.  They have not all been found or bought but instead sprayed with copper or gold spray paint.

I have always had a thing for gold accessories and decor.  I love that they can give your home a modern and eclectic feel regardless of your current decor, it looks good with just about anything or anywhere in your home.

I decided to give this Ikea utensil holder a new look for our current desk area and I couldn't love it more, it's sleek, sophisticated and very eclectic for the look that our office/desk area currently has.

So what do you guys think?  Are you a gold or copper fan?
Or both?

Well I have good news because I have quite a few Rust-Oleum GOLD spray paint cans that were left untouched from a previous event that Rust-Oleum so kindly helped sponsor and I hate to let them sit in my garage for too long so I thought I'd give some away!

Still brand new and ready to ship, what do you think?

I wish I had the copper too but I don't except luckily these spray paints are also affordable and easy to find at your local hardware store or craft store.

Usually around my birthday month is when I start to feel really generous and love giving cool things away to my readers as a special "you're super awesome" thank you for being so supportive gift!  Except I'm not Oprah sooooo a giveaway will have to do Lol!

  2. I've got an aluminum bucket that I sprayed with copper paint and as it's aged, it looks realistic enough that people actually think it's copper! We fill the bucket with ice and drinks for our outdoor parties.

  3. My favorite thing to do in the fall is to rake leaves. Not because I like raking leaves, but because that is the end of yardwork for the season!!
