Our Fall Kitchen

Our Fall Kitchen this year and every year I think is usually pretty simple.  The kitchen feels very warm and welcoming already that just the little key elements of the current season make it feel that much cozier and inviting.

A lot happens in here during the holidays.  Baking is one of many and even during gatherings, everyone ends up in the kitchen. So keeping it simple and fuss free is key.

There are still a few unfinished (to-do's) in our kitchen, such as the bay window is in need to be replaced, appliances and eventually we plan to replace the counter tops as well, not to mention the hood is going to be covered soon as I can convince the hubs to get going on a wood hood cover plan.

But overall this space in the last two years has come a long way and we're still very much pleased with the layout.  Also with how cozy and warm it feels even with the modern touches and display of open shelving.

Baking in our kitchen during the holidays is a must and we love doing so.  The recipe books get opened and the ideas start flowing.

This Summer we had to replace the kitchen sink faucet due to some water damage, that the original one that came with the sink had encountered.  But we weren't too mad about it, we're much happier with the one we replaced it with and much better looking with an updated look.

This mint colored caddy carrier was a steal at Marshall's for $8 that I couldn't pass up and is pretty useful when we need to take some items out to the backyard for entertaining or outdoor dining.

Keeping the elements neutral such as the tiny white pumpkins and wheat stems was all our kitchen really needed to feel like Autumn/Fall.

I could have gone a little overboard with buying more pumpkins to fill our counter space but truth be told, keeping the counter space open and available for daily cooking and baking is a must in our kitchen, can't stress that enough.

Tell me what you think, was the decor just enough or too subtle?

Overall I think sometimes less is more and hoping to give you guys an inside look at our Fall Living room very soon.
