Whether you’re a newcomer to the concept of wellness or you’re practically a pro when it comes to taking care of your mind and your body, there are always more things you can do to look after yourself, no matter how much or (more likely) little time you have to spare.
Here are a few very simple things that you can add into your day that will boost your wellness routine and soon have you feeling even better than ever before...
Switch to Green Tea
Swapping out some of your coffees or whatever your regular beverage of choice might be, for a warming cup of green tea is about as simple as it gets and it will undoubtedly give your health a boost. Not only does green tea contain Catechins which can help your body to burn more fat, but it is also packed with antioxidants that will help you to stay fresh-faced and youthful looking for far longer. It tastes great with a little honey or a slice of lemon or a vitality lemon oil, too.

Meditate for a Few Minutes
If you’ve been put off starting your own meditation routine because you’ve been led to believe that you’ll need to take at least an hour out of your day to do it justice, the good news is that you can feel the benefits of meditation in just a few minutes each day. Apps like Headspace will let you meditate for just a five minutes if mindfulness is your thing or you can use a yoga bracelet to chant an empowering mantra in just a couple of minutes.
Do this and your mind will be clearer, you’ll feel less stressed and you’ll be able to take on the day with more enthusiasm than ever before.
Do Sun Salutations
If you don’t have time to fit in a full yoga session and get all of the body and mind benefits that come with that, simply do a few sun salutations upon waking. It will stretch your body and get it ready for the day so you’re less likely to experience aches and pains, and it will calm your mind so that stress won’t trouble you so much either. It’s such a simple practice but a really powerful one too.
Start the Day with a Green Smoothie
Making a green smoothie takes just a few minutes, but it ensures that you get the day off to a good wellness start by feeding your body lots of vitamins, minerals, and fiber which will wake you up and keep you going. You can replace your breakfast with a smoothie or drink it before your main meal to fill you up and give you lots of goodness, it’s really up to you.

Take a Magnesium Bath Before Bed
Adding magnesium flakes or essential oils to your bath before you retire to bed is an excellent way to calm down the body ready for sleep. It will also help to soothe any aches and pains you have from exercising or sitting at your desk in an uncomfortable position all day which again will help you to fall asleep faster because you’ll feel so much more comfortable. What are your favorite wellness practices to incorporate into the day?
