An Oldie But Goodie With Parmigiano Reggiano

Calling All Cheese Lovers! Get your Hands on Parmigiano Reggiano® wedges also known as the KING OF CHEESE!

I don't think this particular dish will ever get old around our household. Its an all time favorite for literally all of us. I love making a big ol' pot of it at the beginning of the week to have around in case I don't feel like slaving over the stove any other days of the week or I happen to be too busy for making a daily dinner meal. The kids appreciate it either way, they don't tire of it either in case you're wondering.

For rich flavor don't buy pre-grated Parmesan, buy a wedge of Parmigiano Reggiano!

Freshly grate the cheese from the wedge for the most intense flavor. Feel free to use the wedge on a cheese board eaten raw, or shave pieces onto a salad. Use the rind to flavor a delicious homemade broth. There are a multitude of uses and recipes for a wedge of Parmigiano Reggiano®.

You can find the recipes here: http://parmesan.com/recipes-with-parmesan/

There also health benefits to Parmigiano Reggiano®, a healthy food & even great for kids! Because of the long aging process, Parmigiano Reggiano® is naturally lactose-free. Yes, you heard that right! Which is our families love language, most of us are lactose so this is right up our alley. Makes me feel good knowing that we're getting a source of calcium that won't affect us in a bad way. It easily digestible and the perfect source of both protein and calcium. Read more about that here: http://parmesan.com/health-properties-of-parmesan/

This cheese is made with just three ingredients—milk, salt and rennet—and eight centuries of cheese making experience go into every wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano®. From the local grasses and forage fed to the cows, to the milk they produce and then the cheese that is produced by nearly 400 cheese makers, Parmigiano Reggiano® is a true reflection of its place of origin and the art of generations and generations of cheese artisans. Parmigiano Reggiano® is produced exclusively in the provinces of Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena and parts of the provinces of Mantua and Bologna, on the plains, hills and mountains enclosed between the rivers Po and Reno.

Hope you consider changing from the green container to the real deal. With all the benefits Parmigiano Reggiano® has and the fact that its lactose friendly, we're definitely sticking with it. Not to mention one of their wedges will last you for quite a while. I will also be serving these cheese with fruit and crackers at all of my wine gatherings now and my salads, I can't wait!

Enjoy!
