If you’ve been following for a while now then you know that I’ve recently been savoring my days with my baby niece. And being that we’re trying to focus more on wholesome and natural foods throughout our home, it was only natural that I would seek out the most natural food for my niece to have as well.
When my kids were younger years ago, there were not as many options in the baby food aisle. Full of preservatives and artificial who-knows-whats, the jarred “foods” were quite questionable and therefore undesirable. Making your own was really the only natural way to go. And that’s only if I had the time.
I love that though my kiddos are older now, I can still enjoy having babies around. It’s been so nice having my niece around and watching her for my sister from time to time. Avery has blossomed and grown so much in the last 18 months. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to enjoy the sweet nature of that fun toddler life but through Avery’s warm and happy nature. It’s been quite the journey lately, but let me just say, why do they have to grow up so fast?!
Thankfully, my sister lives close enough to me that I’m able to watch Avery as often as I’d like. I have had to actually bring in reinforcements lately to keep her entertained. Luckily, I have a neighbor who was purging all kinds of baby toys, books, etc. But that also includes having food and snacks available for her when needed and I prefer to take the load off my sister having to bring too much by having my own stocked up.
