We all want to do more in our life and rightly so because there’s so much out there to see, to do and learn. Personally I have a few things of my own that I'm looking forward to learning myself. I've been looking into a new college course and a new hobby I want to get into and take a class for. As soon as I decide or get into it more, I will definitely share with you all.
I love trying new things or hobbies every year. Some are old and some are new. Last year I decided to buy a dollhouse and I got creative with it. I've failed to keep you updated with it, truth is, I have not done much with the interior of it, but the exterior turned out to be exactly how I envisioned it, you can read more about it here , here and here!
So if you’re going to try or looking into trying something new this year, here are a few inspiring ideas to get you started.
Learn To Play An Instrument
As human beings, we all love music, right? It’s a way of communicating when words fail and whatever the instrument, whether it’s the voice, strings or brass, it can trigger something inside of us that we can connect to on an emotional level. And everyone prefers different genres of music from pop to classical, jazz to hip hop. So why not learn to play an instrument? Learning to play one can be quite difficult the older you get as our attention span may be shorter, and our ability to retain information may be limited. However, it’s a great skill to have, especially as it can open other opportunities out to you that you might not have even thought about before. There are plenty of online tutorials like this one where you try to learn how to play piano in just 21 days.
See More Of The World
With so much of the world to explore, it’s hard to understand why some people don’t fancy traveling outside where they are used to. However, there’s so many cultures, cuisines, and sites to see that you’d certainly regret exploring them when you’re no longer able to. Make yourself a bucket list each year of a few places you’d like to visit. It doesn’t matter if you can’t do it all, even one will be fine. It’ll encourage and inspire you to see more of what this wonderful earth has to offer. It’ll also help you grow as an individual because we can often be pretty closed off from what’s happening beyond our city or country.
Some great city breaks to visit are Rome, Amsterdam, Paris, and Barcelona. So now you’ve got a few to get you started, what are you waiting for?
Change Your Career Path
Bored with your job? Well, maybe it’s time for something new. Sometimes things don’t pan out the way they were meant to, and it can throw you off course. But now, we’re not as restricted to the full-time, 9-5 job that we’re used to. Nowadays, we’re becoming entrepreneurs, working flexible hours or running our own businesses. So it’s easier than it was before, to change up your career path if it’s not providing you with the same passion and excitement that it once had.
If you feel as though you want to leave your job, right down the pros and cons to leaving and make sure you’ve done some thinking about what you’d like to do instead. Focus on what you’re good at rather than choosing something that you may not have the right skill set for.
Get A New Hobby
There is pretty much no limit to what you can have as a hobby. Whether you learn how to knit or start collecting stamps, a new hobby can give you a bit more fulfillment in your life. Perhaps you’ve noticed that your daily routine is a bit boring and you, therefore, want to mix it up a little. Don’t be afraid of starting a hobby you feel that you’d enjoy even if to some it might not be for them.
Whatever you do, try something new this year and start living life to the fullest!
