Its been a whirl wind lately and keeping up with all the things I want to share is a struggle these days. I wish I honestly had more time but none the less, I'm finally bringing you this post because I promised you like forever ago and so I'm way over-do!
I can honestly tell you that my mind is forever changing it's mind when it comes to paint colors. I love to paint and I love playing with paint colors I love.
When I first found this antique dresser I was so sure I wanted it in white and you can read that post here.
But little did I realize it wasn't exactly what I had pictured or wanted it to look like after I sat with it for a few weeks, almost a year actually. And of course when Country Chic Paint came out with more colors last Spring, I knew this color was one of my many favorites. I also knew I wanted it on this dresser, it would tone it down a bit and give our living room space the warmth it needed.
Even though this is an antique, I didn't want to distress it this time around. I wanted it to keep it's classic look but also bring out the sophistication of it to life.
She turned out beautifully and I once again could not be happier.
Truth is she's staying this way for a while.
Truly the dramatic change I expected when I chose DRIFTWOOD color from Country Chic Paint.
I've used it on two pieces of furniture already, I keep wondering if I'm ready to put my brush to the test soon enough.
