How I Boost My Immune System Daily & Naturally

Since I was a little girl I have had the most sensitive digestive system. After having had my kids it only got worst and after my second birth I realized I needed to do something to change how awful I would feel at times.

Not knowing exactly what triggered my abdomen and stomach pains, I knew that I had to change my diet in some ways and add lots of organic foods and probiotics to my gut.

Now years later, I'm thankful that I've been able to maintain this immune boosting system daily to help me feel good and healthy when it comes to fighting off a cold or flu bug. And now more than ever with this killer flu bug called COVID 19 it's most necessary to do anything and everything necessary to help our bodies fight off those evil bugs.

Probiotics

I’ve heard again and again that good health starts with your gut. So along with adding coconut milk yogurts, Greek yogurts and other fermented foods to my diet, I started taking a daily probiotic supplement in the morning before I have my coffee.  I also highly recommend probiotics especially when you're sick, and for one month after any antibiotics, otherwise daily for two months only in the wintertime as a little booster.

Elderberry

My go-to herb supplement when I'm looking to strengthen my immune system to fight off colds and flus especially during flu season. Since it’s great for raising your body temperature to fight a cold, it usually reduces the length of your illness by 1-3 days. 

Essential Oils

I’m no expert when it comes to essential oils but I do love that Young Living Essential Oils has an oil for just about anything and Peppermint oil is my favorite to help boost my immune system. Other favorites are Eucalyptus, Lemon, Thieves and Raven essential oils. 

My Immune Boosting Elixer (works for morning or evening)

Every evening, I combine these three items in a cup of my favorite hot tea to make a warm, soothing, immune boosting elixer:

  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Holistik CBD Sleep Stir Stik (to relieve stress and promote good sleep) or all natural CBD oil works just as well too, I like 250mg but you could do less or more.
  • Local honey from my farmers market (optional, if you have allergies).

Apple cider vinegar is well known to help support digestion, only a ½ tsp is needed prior to breakfast, or even better, prior to every meal.  In my case I prefer to drink it with my tea in the evening.

The Results

You'll notice that you'll be less sick throughout the year. And the times that I’ve come down with a bug, I’m able to recover from it much more quickly. The same goes for the rest of my family. I’d call my immune boosting regimen a success! And during these hard challenging times it's much more critical for anyone to start an immune boosting routine.
