I haven't always been a fan of Summer but it's been growing on me the last few years, I've opened my mind and eyes to all the beauty this season has to offer. But one of my most favorite things is just how much more simple Summer and refreshing can be.
If you've been following along then you know I recently gave our entry way yet another update, the floors.
This has been a long time coming project and I'm so glad that I finally did it. And now it feels so much cleaner and brighter and because the floors are basically the show stopper in this space now, I didn't want to add too much unnecessary stuff.
Again this area is our entryway, our drop zone therefore less is more. We have managed to find ways to keep things tidy here and I'd like to keep it that way as much as possible without things being too much in the way as we leave or come home. Now, when it comes to giving our homes a new look or feel, it doesn't always have to cost a lot or anything for that matter. I'm sure you've heard this before and so to give your entryway or any room in your home a quick and easy refresh, all you have to do is shop your home.
I am in love with how much lighter, brighter and the simplicity of our entryway.
The simple Summer details that I added to this space were items we already had around our home or in storage and so all I added or changed out was a couple of vases, pothos plant, a new landscape picture and can't go wrong with adding those items we use most in the Summer time, woven hat, beach bag and the necessities like your sunglasses and favorite sandals.
The stenciled floor makes all the difference as you walk through this space and enhances the furniture pieces we have here.
To see how I changed and transformed this floor you can find and read the post here.
My tips for you is always shop your home first, look around and move things around, rotate your beautiful plants around your home, bring out seasonal items that you use every day that bring you joy.
Most of the items in my entryway I've had for a while or are from Ikea, from Facebook Marketplace or second hand, and DIY'd at some point. I love to shop small and organic decor, so I hope these tips help and that also inspire you. But just in case you don't have the sources or items you'd like I've linked similar items below (:
